For the summer of 2022, all campers, regardless of vaccination status, must submit the results of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken prior to arrival at camp. The test must be administered no earlier than the Thursday* morning before the beginning of the session. The PCR test results must be received at Gold Arrow Camp prior to noon PDT on the Saturday* before the session. In addition to the PCR test, out of an abundance of caution, we are also requiring a negative rapid antigen test to be performed at home by a parent on the Sunday* morning the session begins. Gold Arrow Camp staff will confirm your negative rapid antigen test result at camper check-in.
The one exception to this testing requirement occurs when a camper has had a documented case of COVID-19 within 60 days of arrival at camp.
As a convenience, Gold Arrow Camp has partnered with Heed Health to provide an easy solution for the ordering, delivery, and record keeping for both PCR and antigen tests utilizing your personal health insurance for $19.99 plus shipping and handling. Heed meets all HIPPA requirements, and GAC recommends this option as the results are reported to GAC directly from Heed.
You may use a lab of your own choice for the PCR test, but the lab report needs to be emailed to the GAC office no later than the day before (Saturday*) camp begins at noon PST. Additionally, you must be sure your lab performs a PCR test. If you have any question about whether your lab’s test is considered a PCR test, please call the camp office. You must also purchase a rapid antigen test (available at drug stores) ahead of time for use on Sunday* morning.
