All first year staff are required to attend Staff Training week, which begins June 16, 2012, and ends on June 23, 2012. Our camp program lasts 8 weeks with the first campers arriving on June 24, 2012. Depending on qualifications and availability of positions, some staff work beyond the regular camp season during Specialty Week (specialty camps offered to campers include water sports and horseback riding) and Mini Camp. Dates of employment will be determined during the interview and hiring process. To qualify for a counseling position, you must commit to work for at least 9 weeks.
Salary
Regular Season: 9 Weeks » $2,675 plus room and board
Plus Specialty Week: 10 Weeks » $2,950 plus room and board
Paychecks are distributed to employees every two weeks on Saturday at 5:00 PM. Salary for first year counselors is $275 per week. Room and board and laundry service are provided. Employees who hold applicable certifications will receive additional weekly salary as outlined below.

A completion bonus of $200, and potentially, a travel stipend are added to the final paycheck of all first-year counselors completing their expected work dates. Should you, for some reason, not work through your anticipated date of departure, you will not receive the bonus, and your travel stipend and certification bonus will be adjusted at the discretion of the directors. Travel stipends vary from $50-300, depending on the travel distance from camp, and are negotiated prior to employment.
