Alison “Bean” Moeschberger honored with national award

At the recent American Camp Association’s annual national conference in Orlando one of our directors was honored with a national award for quality in writing. Alison “Bean” Moeschberger was presented with the Honorable Mention J. Wendell and Ruth T. Howe Golden Quill Award. Her writing was selected for recognition from all submissions to Camping Magazine for 2017.

Bean received the recognition for her article entitled “Crucial Camp Conversations: Five Keys for Success” which appeared in the March/April 2017 issue of Camping Magazine. Alison’s article outlines the keys to helping staff to become the best counselors. Since we know that our staff is one of the most important parts of the camp experience, we were thrilled that Alison shared her experience and expertise in developing staff with all of the member camps of the ACA.

Alison was thrilled to be able to travel to Orlando to receive her award at the opening of the conference. Congratulations Bean! We’re proud of you!
